about wolfforth kidZ ministry

The goal of Wolfforth Kidz is to raise children up in such a way that they will be equipped to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ so that their identity is found in Jesus. They will be able to boldly walk in confidence and security throughout their formative years not looking to find their identity in their possessions, social status, extracurricular activities, nor their outward appearance. It is our goal that the children are fully aware that they are beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of God. They will live, learn, and play joyfully knowing they are loved beyond measure by their heavenly Father, and that this love will never change nor be taken away.

"You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...” 2 Peter 3:18

At Wolfforth UMC we are a Christ centered ministry reaching Upward in worship and prayer, Inward in discipleship and spiritual formation, and Outward in Kingdom building service and evangelism.

3:18KIDZ: On Sunday mornings at 9:30 am our kids gather for a high-energy time of Bibles stories, games, music, small groups, and prayer designed just for them!

POWERHOUSE is an exciting and dynamic worship experience for children 4 years old - 5th grade. Children will worship with their families during the 8:30 am or 10:30 am service until dismissed to go to a worship service of their very own - POWERHOUSE!   POWERHOUSE - a place to fuel up on God's awesome power!

NURSERY: Sunday mornings during 8:30 am and 10:30 am services we have Nursery for children 6 weeks up to 3 years old. We have a Sunday School program, Early Christian Awareness or ECA, from 9:30 -10:30 am for children under 3 years old. During 10:30 am worship we also offer a class for the 3 year olds. Our purpose is to serve the youngest members of our church family and help them to grow with Christ.

CLUB 45: Club 45 is a weekly program for the 4th and 5th graders. Our goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ while helping to build strong relationships between the students before encountering the pressures of middle school life.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:  VBS is one of our favorite yearly summer events. We had a fantastic VBS this year and can't wait till next summer for the next one!

parent's day out

The Wolfforth United Methodist Church Parent’s Day Out & Preschool program is a non-profit Christian outreach organization of Wolfforth United Methodist Church to the community in the area of early childhood education for infants ages 3 months through 4 year old preschoolers. Emphasis is placed on Christian love and development and growth of young children spiritually, physically, academically, socially, and creatively.

A day at WUMC PDO & PRESCHOOL is filled with a variety of activities, all designed to provide children with the sensory experiences that are the building blocks of their development. Touching, seeing, smelling, hearing, and tasting are the channels for preschool children to begin exploring their world.

Each child will participate in multiple activities daily, with a supportive teacher nearby. The teacher answers questions, offers thoughtful observations, and encourages learning, all in keeping with each child’s level of development, interest, ability, and needs. For preschool children, play is serious work.

In our 3 and 4 year old preschool classes, children are taught basic fundamentals of reading such as phonemic awareness and letter-sound recognition. They also focus on basic mathematic skills such as sorting, patterns, shapes, and number recognition. Our preschool teachers are certified by the state of Texas and are eager to prepare the children for kindergarten.

PDO & Preschool classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. WUMC PDO & PRESCHOOL follows the Frenship ISD calendar for school holidays and closings.

The Vine

The Vine is an on-campus, fully licensed after-school program. The mission of The Vine program is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to inspire growth in the development of the whole child. The Vine meets Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:00pm. During that time we provide a nutritional snack, homework help, time outside to play and time inside to explore their creativity.

We also provide a special activity every day. Those activities include; chapel, music, character, and manners. Chapel is lead by our Director of Children's Ministry. Chapel gives our children an opportunity to worship and grow in relationship with Christ Jesus. In music, lead by our worship leader, the children have a fun time singing along and learning the foundational principles of music through; vocal warm ups, theory studies and basic rhythms. During our character and manner time the children are learning what it means to respect themselves and others, as well as, how to appropriately and kindly relate to each other and those around them.

The Vine is one of the most affordable after school care programs in this area. The cost to attend is $110 per month plus a one-time registration fee of $25 due at the beginning of the school year. We try our best to keep the program as affordable as possible to serve every type of family. We have seen tremendous growth in our children, and we are so excited about the future and what God will do with this ministry.
